I like the 2 strong elements of natural water stream and the concrete piers lead-in to the boats
on the water....the solitude of the concrete stump add interest to the foreground....

This shot was captured at Sungai Pontian yesterday to get our fresh fish stock at the jetty.
I took the opportunity to shoot but the light was harsh at midday...Waited for almost 1/2 hour
to get this composition where the one boat at stationary while the other started to disembark
and gives the sense of movement....

Thailand Multipetal Pink Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) in full bloom in my home garden

I photographed this Thailand Multipetal Pink Lotus blooming in my home garden this morning.
This is my favorite flower as it is the most scented one. The multipetal petals are in the
shape of a bowl in comparison to our local Lotus...I waited for the sun at 10.30am for the
full bloom and shot at the foreground with large f stop for shallow DOF to ensure
sharp images through out for the pink petals and green lotus pod.
